LDC, Inc. routinely organizes two-day tutor training workshops at Hope Church, in Sturgeon Bay, usually from 4:00- 6:00 or a a time agreed upon by the participants and the trainers. These workshops are led by qualified tutor trainers and mentors that introduce the participants to research-based practices for successful language-learning.
Literacy Tutor Round Tables
LDC, Inc. holds monthly tutor round tables at Hope Church, in Sturgeon Bay, on the first Thursday of every month from 4:00- 6:00. Tutors are encouraged to drop by and stay as long as they are able. These sessions have proven extremely useful in keeping the tutors informed about methodology, upcoming events and any issues of relevance to the community we serve. They are also a great time to share experiences and an important motivational tool for all.

The LDC, Inc. is in the process of finalizing its policies and procedures. The Steering Committee has been hard at work organizing and trouble-shooting all the items necessary for the creation of a non-profit organization such as ours.
We are also organizing our library which is currently housed in a small corner of Hope Church.
In the upcoming months we hope to establish links with organizations that serve the same sector of our community and thus to better serve our students.
We would like to thank all the individuals and organizations that have helped us and encouraged us in this journey.
